 ONE MORE BIRTHDAY!!!

Do you remember your first sunrise!!

An orange ball rising out of nowhere..

How amazing, how astonishing!!

Then, It brought a smile in your face..

But with the passing days,

And after thousand of sunrise and sunsets,

Its no more a miraculous orange ball,

Just some physics and gravity’s call..

And a sunrise no more brings a smile, 

Just a new day with overloaded mind..

Thats just how our birthdays are..

One or two; 

You dont remember the first few,

Three, four ; five;

Lots of attention and good food,

Thats all u knew..

Six to ten : -

All about gifts and new dresses you gained.

Eleven to eighteen :-

Treats , parties and fun with friends..

Slowly as you age further,

You Remind yourself, age is just a number,

And now birthdays dont arrive alone,

Body fat and the wrinkles come along..

The bills to pay and buses to catch,

Your life is just a never ending cricket match,

Life throws you the hard balls,

You try to bounce, sixes and fours

Sometimes you miss it, sometimes you score!!
