ME VS THE WORLD

You are the sun,

I am the star.. 

You outshine me, 

though we're so far.. 

Your presence is celebrated, 

I am just showcased.

You give them light and life, 

I have nothing to offer, 

They revolve around you, 

And wish me to fall..

Like all stars, 

I shall fall too.. 

And when i do, 

They shall close their eyes 

And make the wishes, 

But don't they realize, 

If i could grant a wish, 

I would grant my own, 

To become the sun

And feel the shine.. 

 

NOTE:- There are moments in our life when we feel so diminished. We tend to undermine ourselves and blame self for each and every bad thing that happens. "Me Vs The world" are the words carved at a state where one feels worthless and starts comparing self with others and tends to question one's own validity, which becomes even more harmful...The life of everyone except yours seems like a heaven and your own life feels like a never ending struggle..
